Archdiocesan Requirements |
The following describes the requirements for admission to the Seminary for Archdiocese of Los Angeles:
- The applicant must be a "fully initiated" Catholic.
- The applicant must be a Catholic, who practices his faith and demonstrates a good Christian moral lifestyle.
- The applicant needs to have lived in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for at least one year and be involved in parish ministry.
- The applicant should have lived at least two years of intentional celibacy.
- The applicant must have good physical and psychological health.
- The applicant must have the intelligence to complete a regular college program and graduate studies.
- If applicable, the applicant must be gainfully employed and able to support himself.
- The applicant may not be married.
- The applicant must not have minor or dependent children.
- The applicant must be free of significant debt.
